Robert P. Miller

Bob's focus is on advising companies and financial institutions on real estate strategies and issues. When appropriate, he structures and executes sale-leaseback transactions on companies' core property to raise inexpensive capital to re-invest in uses with a higher utility.

His career is a combination of sophisticated institutional acquisitions and financing with hands-on entrepreneurial developments, purchases and services. Bob has been published and quoted in numerous national and regional publications, including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, M&A Today, Boston Business Journal, Association of Corporate Growth, CFO Solution and The Financial Executives Network Group.

Earlier in his career, he was in charge of real estate development for Prudential’s Northeastern Region. He had a direct role in the acquisition and development of properties with a current value of more than $2 billion, which include the Hyatt Regency Cambridge, One Beacon Street, 28 State Street, Technology Square and Draper Labs. His initial experience with sale-leasebacks was on the investor-side with Prudential.

Bob has also acquired and developed real estate for his own accounts, including the re-purposing of older buildings to new uses. He has been involved in public/private ventures and has been a consultant on real estate issues to corporations, institutions and private entities.

 

He is an active member of the M&A Chapter of the USA 500 Clubs, which are exclusive regional communities for trusted advisors located throughout New England and New York City. Bob is a member of Exit Planning Exchange (XPX), the Association for Corporate Growth, The Financial Executives Network Group, CFO Solutions and a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts and New York.

Bob received his BA from Trinity College, studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from Suffolk University. He led real estate seminars at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, taught at Boston Architectural College and ran the Boston Society of Architects’ Private-Sector Development program. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Mother Brook Arts and Community Center and served as a Trustee of Montserrat College of Art.

William E. Diercks

Bill is the founder of Corporate Finance Strategies, developing business growth strategies for clients as well as strategies for them to properly finance that growth.

With over 42 years of C-level management experience, Bill is a general management and corporate finance consultant to owners and chief executives of closely-held companies. He also develops turnaround, growth and corporate finance strategies and sources bank and institutional financing for his clients.

Bill co-founded Great Cove Advisors, LLC in 2006. He was also a Managing Member of Benchmark Consultants; Executive Vice President, Senior Lending Officer and a Director of Neworld Bank, Boston; Manager of Commercial Lending at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., Boston; and a Government Securities Representative for Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in New York.

He earned his BS in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA in Finance from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Bill was a Director of a publicly owned bank and is currently on the Advisory Board of several privately owned companies.

Stanley B. Wyrwicz

Stan is Senior Managing Director, Sale-Leaseback Division of Calkain, based in the Boston office. He has over 30 years of experience in real estate and public accounting, having held advisory, brokerage and senior level corporate real estate positions.

Stan was a Managing Director at REF Advisory, LLC., a real estate services firm specializing in sale leaseback transactions for major corporations and providing advisory services to corporations and individuals owning or selling real estate. During this period, he co-managed in excess of $600,000,000 of sale and financing transactions. He analyzed real estate and helped corporations maximize value through a combination of understanding capital markets and structuring leases to maximize sale values of existing real estate as well as sites under development.

Stan was Vice Chairman, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of General Investment and Development Company a privately held, multi-billion dollar real estate investment/management firm. He arranged and closed more than $2,200,000,000 of real estate debt and credit facilities.

Prior to this, Stan held various senior and board level financial positions with Cabot, Cabot & Forbes, a privately held multibillion dollar national commercial real estate development, investment, management and construction firm. Stan began his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co. He received both his MBA and BS from Boston University. He is a certified public accountant and a licensed real estate broker.
